Aiko was the epitomy of a blushing bride. She really bloomed on her wedding day. She was always cheerful and happy – the opposite of most brides-to-be. She wasn’t stressed or anxious at all and for me, that’s a miracle!
Aiko if you are reading this, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! Congratulations to you and Arvin. A blessed marriage to you both.

I met Ms Ning my bride through social media and after thorough investigation she booked me for her wedding day. Before the trial run came, we set a meeting at the coffee shop. We discussed the details of her wedding, style and other personal stuff. One thing that strikes me, she was very keen to details. And the day of the hair and makeup trial came, she opted for radiant , simple and timeless looking bride. I thought she’s quiet and serious at first, but she was jolly and the entire house where we perform the trial was filled with loud laughter and joy! She had soooo much to say, maybe 2,000 words a minute. And no, that’s not an exaggeration. It worked to my advantage because I didn’t have to say a word. She did all the talking while I did her make up. And I like that! (Revelation: It’s awkward when my client is super quiet, I feel like she’s secretly judging my every move. I like it better when my clients talk, I feel more comfortable and at ease.)
We got along so well and boy that’s a relief. My work has to match the style of the bride but more than that, I believe the make up artist and the bride should actually like each other. Because really, I’m going to be .01mm from your face and if you don’t like me, that’s going to be annoying.
Thank you for all the unexpected outburst of laughter, Ms Ning. My team and I enjoyed every second with you.

No, Airbrush Make Up does NOT transfer onto clothing. In this photo you’ll see it hasn’t transferred onto the veil. Yay!!

Yesterday, I had a Bridal Hair and Makeup trial for my soon to be October Bride this year. One thing that I love about wedding preparation is trial hair and makeup. I know a lot of my friends went through a lots of trial makeup before picking “the one”.
As a makeup artist, I understand the Importance of having a trial makeup, (click here) I highly recommend it to my clients because it is the greatest day of any woman’s life to get married so looking great is not an option.
As for my makeup trial for this year, I am lucky to have met a fabulous woman whose inner beauty shone to bright she doesn’t even need any makeup on!
Trial makeup client
Skin Type: Combination skin
Request: Smokey sultry eye makeup, flawless base
My client’s skin is an oily- combination skin all I need is to prepare her skin for smooth foundation application. I used ample of oil free moisturizer then prime her face with a mattifying face primer for the rest of her skin.
Before the airbrush foundation application, I always begin applying correctors first mixed with concealers to hide imperfections of the client’s face. To even out the skin tone, I used two shades of OCC airbrush foundation. Grabbing the the lightest shade to highlight the highest point of her face and grabbing 1 to 2 steps darkest shade to scuplt her forehead, cheekbones, jawlines, noseline up to the eye contour.
I want to create sultry looking eyes; I used pencil technique and creamshadow technique to correct and reshape the eyes. Once you get the shape start building your eye shadow color starting from your transition, middle and your contour colors. When I say colors, I literally used several colors to achieved maximum depth and definitions. ( eye shadows used, lorac pro pallete, kryolan pro pallets, graftobian eye shadows)
For sultry finish, I picked a dark gel liner pencil top with black liquid pen for a more richer look. Coats and coats of mascara are applied after curling her lashes with Tweezerman Eyelashes curlers; I also applied falsies on her by cutting 1 into 2 as applying false lashes as may make her eyes more droopy. Bohktoh wing2 and Taiwan no8 were used as for her eyelashes.
Let’s not forget to contour the face and nose are for that instant painless nose lift and face lift!
As for the cheeks, I used kett airbrush blush top with apricot shade from kryolan blusher pallete.
As for the lips, I used two lip pencil in Detail to contour the lips applying liquid lipstick from Anastacia Beverly hills (forgot the name shade, sorry:)
Last but not the least, I set the area that could oil with a Graftobian HD Translucent Powder with Nyx mattifying setting spray.

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you did not have a hard time dragging yourself to work! Last Wednesday, we rushed through the pouring rain and went to Light of Love Events Place for a debut. I will share you my debutante’s transformation into young beautiful lady ready to conquer the world.
Before and after: PRINCESS
Skin Condition: Normal and Dry
Request: Smokey contoured eyes and fresh airbrush based
Princess is one of those girls who have a perfect canvass. You can easily change her look with different makeup application and as I look into her clear skin, I thought of a nicer “flush” of color focusing on her eyes and skin.
For the skin, I prepped the skin by cleansing the face using Biore micellar water using cotton pad spreading it all over her face. Followed by spraying a good amount of Evian face Mist, and applying the face mask for giving back the hydration or moisture onto her skin. I applied a regular primer from Elf to keep her makeup intact let it set a bit.
After prep and prime, I spot conceal her undereye circle with the used of peach colored corrector from graftobian. Then I mixed two different shades from luminess airbrush foundation to achieve her shade and applied a thin layer all over her skin as she’s good skin to start with.
Princess has round face shape so I contoured the areas on her forehead, cheekbones and let’s not forget the non surgery nose lift via airbrush contouring.. Lol
I simply applied a peach pink tone airbrush blush from graftobian over powder blush for long lasting effect.
Setting the whole base by Rcma no color powder mix a little bit of Graftobian HD Powder.
She has a nice set of brows so all I did is to fill in the gaps and set it with a brow gel to tame them. Brows are tricky yet fun to do and I took the time to really create a “young looking” brows fit for her age.
On to her eye makeup, Princess outfit she has a lot of 3d flower petals attached on her gown with matching colored pearls. So I want to keep it down with the neutral shades. I used pencil technique to correct the shape of the eyes. She has a rounded slightly hooded eyes, this technique is best to correct and create a banana winged shaped eyes.
Grabbing a light dust of rose colored eye shadow on her lid mixing with peachy pink matteshadows for the transition color. Dark purple and brown were mixed together to creates shades that people can’t seem to identify! Blend it out the shadows to create a winged effect. To finished the eyelook, I lined the lashline with slightly winged cats eye and attaching a feathery vavavoom lashes. Voilllla!!!
Last but not the least, a lip stick that matches the whole look was used. I contoured the shape of her lips with the dark rose colored lip liner blending it with lip synthetic brush and applied a mixture of rose pink and wine colored lip color with shimmery in 2 it lip gloss to finished the look.
FINAL LOOK
Back shot of the hairstyle made with my hairstylist, Elsie Delos Reyes.. Good Job!!
Here are the photos taken from my phone before the start of the pre shoot :
After the first part of the program, we patiently waited for Princess to arrived at the makeup room for the second look. Elsie pull out the hair and create a half braided crown upstyle, and embellished with pearl pins strategically place it in between the braids.
I noticed that the based is still intact despite of lots of crying moment because of the surprise arrival of her brother. I defined even more the contour of her eyes, attached unruly lashes and begin adding a little amount of shimmer highlights for a glowing effect. To finish the look , I mixed wine and burgundy lipsticks with lipgloss.
SECOND LOOK
It was raining the whole time. But the rain didn’t stop us to celebrate this very special day. The party was jam-packed with people who care for and who love Princess dearly. What a nice way to celebrate your birthday. And yes it was definitely a black outfit overload to make the debutant stand out in her pink ball gown! He he
Seeing the debutant happy is more than enough for me to know that I did a good job in making her look and feel beautiful that night!
Did you like this look on her? What makeup did you have for 18th?
Hope you all enjoyed this post. See you on my next one.
I would like to thank my co suppliers for that night:

I usually advice my bridal clients that I used Airbrush Makeup for weddings because of the benefits it can give to both parties. Well in a nutshell.. Airbrush makeup is a fine mist of foundation sprayed with a small compressor gently covering the skin to give the appearance of a flawless complexion.
Airbrush makeup can covers and last all day long. It is water resistant and will not smudge with light retouching. It can be applied to anyone even men. Its also hypoallergenic, sanitary and easy to use.
It’s another makeover day! I’ve done a lovely bride last July 16, Sunday. And i really enjoy being part of that exciting event.
Here’s my radiantly beautiful bride very pretty even in her prep makeup
Before and after: SYDNEY
Skin type : Normal / Dry Request: Fresh glowing bride ala Marian Rivera Bridal makeup
I did trial hair and makeup on her several weeks ago before the wedding. The makeup I’ve done for a trial is darker as compared to the day of her wedding. On her wedding day she opted for a lighter version of the makeup.
TrialMakeup
I started off preparing her skin for makeup by moisturizing dry areas around her skin and oil control primer at her T-zone. I also spot conceal redness that airbrush makeup may not cover. Then I used Occ and kett airbrush foundation going layer by layer to make sure her foundation is even.
I usually do contouring at the latter part of the makeover but for Airbrush, it comes next before the foundation application. When it comes to contouring using airbrush, layering is the key. It is very crucial not to apply too much as it is difficult to correct mishaps when you use airbrush makeup. I also contoured her nose using airbrush and included her chin are to create a slimmer silhouette.
I’ve decide to pick peachy pink eye shadow created an illusion of deeper set of eyes, of course, with the help of an eyeliner. Lashes were also used it will always look perfect on photos!
I airbrush a simple cool toned pink blush on the apples of her cheeks and matched her lip color.
Congratulations to our lovely couple, Syney and Samuel. Thank you so much for trusting us to do the wedding makeover for the whole party.
Do you like the after photos of my airbrush bride?
A couple of months ago I got booked to my first ever Muslim Wedding. I got so excited because 1. I have never been to one yet; 2. I know it will be an eye opener for me as regards to Muslims rites; and 3. I am open to learning different cultures and traditions.
The lovely couple are Jeremy and Sahara who were married in the Plaza Ibarra Events Venue in Timog, Quezon City, where a restaurant set up are allowed for the muslim wedding ceremony. A mosque too but not all the time just like Christians. It was a beautiful All White Set up of venue (brides choice) haha. Even the relatives and guest were all dressed up in white.
Just to give a short research on Muslim Matrimony, they are carried out in various ways as to the culture they are accustomed to. In the Philippines, Muslim Matrimony are arranged by parents and relatives with bride and groom.
To muslim, their women cannot marry outside of their faith. However, Muslim men can do as long as their children are raised as Muslim. After the acceptance of the offer of marriage the groom must give the bride a Mhar (dowry). From what i learned from the wedding of my couple the groom gave cash and golds and the things the bride wishes.
Meet my glamorous bride, Sahara in her Wedding Hair and Makeup Prep look, wearing her custom made ivory white bridal robe. I know what’s on your mind???:) It’s a Muslim bride she should wear dramatic colored eye makeup look. Well Sahara trusted me enough to glam her up in a modern way!…
The modern Muslim bridal look has shifted from being traditional to the modern technique. Heavy eye makeup is an integral part of a Muslim wedding. The eye and lips should look sensous and appealing and the rest of the facial makeup remain minimal.
To start with the eyemakeup, shape the eyebrow with the help of an eyebrow pencil and choose at least two to three shades for the bridal eye makeup. I used Kryolan, Graftobian and Lorac Pro Pallete. These brands never fails me.
Two important things to take note when doing Muslim bridal eye makeup : Everything should be applied strategically and should match the bridal outfit.
For the based of my bride, I made sure that I prep and prime the face for a long lasting appearance. Applied the airbush based match to even tone the skin and conceal blemishes and imperfections. Now the canvass is ready.
Sahara wore warm red lace gown in sparkling faceted studs sewn on her long sleeved gown with cape (very queenly siya).
Natural looking high definition airbrush makeup on a Groom, Jeremy on his wedding day. It may come as a surprise, but makeup isn’t inherently feminine or a “woman thing;” it’s merely a feature-enhancing, flaw-minimizing, photo-readying thing!
The groom, I was surprised to see, was not into Muslim attire but wore a Western style suit
We are waiting for the ceremony to begin at the holding area of the venue. I learned from one of the entourage the following wedding rites:
The marriage ceremony called Nikah. Bride and groom are separated. The bride is locked in one covered tent (kubol), where she is kept from her groom.
The audience listens to a marriage sermon given by the imam to solemnize the wedding.
The groom was first wed to the father of the bride, a sign of assurance that he will take care of their daughter. After a few closing words, they united together with white hanky to close the Nikah. They will parade towards the area where the bride is carefully locked.
The groom and the bride parades towards the stage, followed by their entourage. The couple is then seated together up front, and prayers are read for the successful marriage.
Here are some photos during wedding preps up to the ceremony:
I was really glad I was able to witnessed this Muslim wedding. My first time proved a worthy one as I was able to learn many things in the Muslim culture. Have you attended a different Wedding rite?? Please share. 🙂

We would like to express a sincere gratitude to the newly Wed Couple, Sahara and Jeremy. Best Wishes!!!
Happy Wednesday! I am so thrilled to share this blog post once again. Sorry for getting Mia for the past 2 years. Because I had a lot of Freelance Makeup Artist work and project that’s why I wasn’t able to update this blog post.
Anyway, for today’s post I’ll show you a beautiful bridal look in a natural bronze hues. Let’s start with the makeup:
Step 1: Prep the skin with hydrating face moisturizer and unify tone with foundation.
Step 2: Contour the face with a darker foundation, set it with no color process powder and apply a matte bronze powder.
Step 3: To create a warmth in the skin, I used “Coral Flush” from the Makeup Revolution Rouge Palette. Coral tones give a light and a happy effect to the skin.
Step 4: With Joanna, I wanted to bring out her amazing brown eyes so I used gold, copper, bronze and brown tönes of eyeshadow. start at lining the eyes with a dark brown eyeliners.
Step 5: Apply a champagne gold eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eyes. Over the crease and lid, apply an orangey copper bronze. To really define the eye and add a bit drama, apply a darker brown eyeshadow into the crease.Finish off the eyes with mascara and whisky human h a ir faux lashes.
Step 6: On Joanna’s lips,I used a mauvey – brown lipstick, to emphaşize her eyes.
Voila!! We’re done. I would like to thank to Allen Cabs Writing lights for capturing these beautiful photos and to our gorgeous model Joanna Tolledo!
Thank you for dropping by. SEE YOU on my next post! 🙂
